CHESTER COUNTY MARKET UPDATE:
In June there was a total of 1,020 homes put up for sale on the market - a good jump from last month but still lower than last year. As you probably have heard, it’s a seller’s market due to the low inventory. This trend appears to continue into the summer. However, he homes that have been on the market have sold for higher price points than last year. The median sold price was $385,000 - 2.7% higher than in 2019! As it was in May, the number of homes that are sold was lower than last year but this again is related to the inventory issue and not the progress of homes selling once they hit the market.
DELAWARE COUNTY MARKET UPDATE:
Delaware County had similar results to Chester County - 880 new listings were put up on the market. A total of 408 other homes sold at a median sales price of $259,500. As with Chester County, the number of listings on the market was an increase from May but less than in 2019, continuing the low inventory trend. Also the sales prices are higher than in 2019 even though the number of homes are lower than last year.
