CHESTER COUNTY MARKET UPDATE:
The real estate market is still showing a strong seller’s market in Chester County: A total of 707 homes went up for sale, which is up 34.2% from in February but 19.4% down from last year. Closed sales totaled 488, which was 37.5% higher than in February. And again, home prices went up, but not as high in the past few months: The median sold price came to $454,770, which is only 2% higher than in February and 9.6% higher than last year. Homes are also still selling fast with the average days on market coming to 21 days.
DELAWARE COUNTY MARKET UPDATE:
We are seeing those same trends in Delaware County: Inventory is up 28.4% from February but 7.4% lower than last year, totaling 751 listings. The number of homes that sold in March came to 580, which is 35.8% higher than in February and 12% higher than last year. The median sales price was $280,000- which is 7.7% higher than in February but 9.4% higher than the year before. In addition, the average days on market was 29 days.
