CHESTER COUNTY MARKET UPDATE:
In May, we saw an increase inventory: A total of 1,010 homes went up for sale, which is only slightly higher than in April. Homes sold at a median sold price came to $425,500. That number is 8.1% higher than at this time last year. The number of closings totaled 667, which is 99.1% higher than last year and 18.9% higher than in April. These homes averaged 20 days on the market. Homes are selling fast and at high values!
DELAWARE COUNTY MARKET UPDATE:
In Delaware County, we saw: 951 new listings were put up on the market, which is the same as in April but 43.2% higher than last year! A total of 663 homes sold (18.0% higher than in April & 96.7% than last year) at a median sales price of $270,000 - which is a decrease from April but still higher than last year. In addition, the average days on market was 19 days, showing how strong this seller’s market is.
