CHESTER COUNTY MARKET UPDATE:
In February there was a total of 554 homes put up for sale on the market, which was a slight decrease from January. The median sold price was $369,750, which is 3.4% lower than January but 10.1% higher than in 2020! The number of closings totaled 393, which is 13.6% higher than last year. These homes averaged 32 days on the market. The drop in inventory isn’t surprising but it attests to why the sold price median is so high in comparison to past years.
DELAWARE COUNTY MARKET UPDATE:
In Delaware County, 532 new listings were put up on the market, which is slight decrease from January. A total of 417 homes sold (26.4% higher than in 2020) at a median sales price of $237,500. While this is a slight drop from in December (1.0%), it is an increase from last year at this time (5.6%). In addition, the average days on market was 28 days. These numbers show a strong seller’s market in Delaware County as well as Chester County.
