CHESTER COUNTY MARKET UPDATE:
In January there was a total of 566 homes put up for sale on the market, which was a 27.5% increase from December. The median sold price was $382,651 - 7.1% higher than in 2020! The number of closings totaled 482, which is 22.6% higher than last year. These homes averaged 32 days on the market. Inventory is low but homes are selling fast and for top dollar, meaning the seller’s market is still active.
DELAWARE COUNTY MARKET UPDATE:
In Delaware County, 534 new listings were put up on the market, which is 8.9% drop since last year but a 33.5% increase from last month. A total of 544 homes sold (24.2% higher than in 2020) at a median sales price of $240,000. While this is a slight drop from in December (2.6%), it is an increase from last year at this time (18.8%). In addition, the average days on market stayed the same: 25 days.
